Well…. I am back here now as of Nov. 4th.

Miss April is along too for a little bit… calls it her goodbye tour.

Stayed in PDC overnight and met with the immigration lawyer I hired. Coming back to PDC in the last week of Nov.

Usual feast at Fogon’s up by La Selva bar.

By 1130 next day I had a car rented and we shot southwards and then inland at Carillo Puerto. Took that toll section for the first time… only 28 pesos to bypass Carillo.

I steered off the road to show Abril this cenote I know of… as yet unexploited.

Qnly the mosquitos are there to exact a toll.

Then happy at home in José María Morelos.

    Time for cervezas and botanas.

These pork knuckle botanas are excellent.

All these botanas are included free with your 20 peso beer.

April attracts mexican guys like a magnet.

A couple of other guys tried to buy her from me, but I told them no way…

Today, Nov. 7th, we are running the car northwards to Valladolid and beyond.

Along the way, road labor crews clear the vegetation beside the road, by hand, with machete’s. It would be impossible to find a canadian to do this type of hard manuel work.

A worker pauses to sharpen his blade…

Took a room at Greisy’s in Valladolid.

And visited my friend Emiliana and her family in Tahcabo.

Back at Valladolid…. more beer and botanas

Later …. frijoles charros. These seem to be different all the time, as varied as the people who make them.

Later still… live entertainment at the square.

La Pesca is a decent bar in town..

Cervezas were a bit more at 30 pesos for a “media” but the botanas were pork chops.

I too have been waiting for you to show up again, and am more than ready to follow along on your trip.

What’s this about April’s goodbye tour?
